A state historical marker issued by the Virginia Department of Historic Resources will be dedicated tthat recalls the founding of the Reconstruction-era Little Zion Baptist Church, a historically African American church in Orange County.
The ceremony, part of the church’s 150th anniversary celebration, is open to the public. Attendees must observe state mandates for covid pandemic protocols for wearing masks and practicing social distancing, as specified in Gov. Ralph Northam’s Third Amendment to Executive Order No. 72, effective March 1, 2021.
