Oakdale, an 80-acre farm that straddles the line between Floyd and Franklin counties just east of the Blue Ridge Parkway, features a ca. 1890 Queen Anne-style house, a large barn, a general store, and an early-20th-century granary and garage, all located on the Floyd County side of the property. Oakdale was the home of Oscar and Ruth Huff, who operated a general store, in addition to managing their large farm. The Huff Store, unusual for its brick construction, served the nearby High Peak community.

Many properties listed in the registers are private dwellings and are not open to the public, however many are visible from the public right-of-way. Please be respectful of owner privacy.
