Oak Hill, an ambitious Federal plantation house erected in 1823-1825 by Samuel Hairston, was the work of James Dejarnett, a prominent area builder, and was noted for its fine woodwork. Oak Hill was gutted by fire in 1988.
Many properties listed in the registers are private dwellings and are not open to the public, however many are visible from the public right-of-way. Please be respectful of owner privacy.
