Virginia Hill Historic District is located five blocks north of the Bristol downtown commercial center and the Virginia-Tennessee state line. The Virginia Hill neighborhood developed in the late-19th- and early-20th-centuries and contains primarily one- and two-story frame and brick residences constructed from 1868 to the 1940s. Ninety-two percent of the district’s 129 primary buildings contribute to the architectural character of the residential district. Architectural styles include Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and Bungalow designs, as well as vernacular and Folk Victorian house forms.

Many properties listed in the registers are private dwellings and are not open to the public, however many are visible from the public right-of-way. Please be respectful of owner privacy.
